Heat transfer in MHD flow of a rotating fluid with soret and radiation effects: exact solution

This study investigates the analysis of heat and mass transfer during the magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) free convection flow over an impulsively started infinite vertical flat plate in the presence of thermal radiation and thermal diffusion (Soret effect) in a rotating viscous fluid. The fluid is consid...

The fluid is considered gray, absorbing-emitting but non-scattering medium and the Rosseland approximation is used to describe the radiative heat flux. The problem is modelled in terms of partial differential equations with some physical conditions. Exact solution of the problem is obtained with the help of Laplace transform technique. The numerical results of fluid velocity, temperature, concentration, and skin friction, rate of heat transfer and rate of mass transfer at the plate are displayed through graphs and tables in order to see the effects of the various parameters entering into the problem. The results show that with increasing rotation parameter E primary velocity decreases whereas the absolute value of the secondary velocity increases.
