Therefore, the organizational management nowadays tend to find the effective method to moderate the effect of job stress. Thus, this study was conducted to identify the role of self-enhancing humor as moderator on the relationship between job stress and organizational loyalty among employees. This study approach was quantitative with cross-sectional research design. A total of 340 health staff in the state of Sabah were involved in the study. The results from regression analysis showed that the job demand was negatively related, while job control was positively related to organizational loyalty among health staff. Besides that, self-enhancing humor was found to be a significant moderator on the relationship between job control and organizational loyalty. These findings provide the information regarding the significant relationship between job stress, organizational loyalty and self-enhancing humor. It will be helpful for the organizational management to develop an effective job stress management intervention to retain the employees in the organization.
