| Summary: | Cyberloafing has been experiencing exponential growth all over the world in all industries since early 2000. The rise in cyberloafing imprinted various cyberloafing behaviours among employees causing an impact on job performance. Cyberloafing among Malaysian youth remains an underexplored research terrain. Therefore, this study will discuss the relationship between cyberloafing behaviour and job performance among working Malaysian youths. In order to investigate this relationship, multiple dimensions for cyberloafing behaviour are used such as development behaviour, recovery behaviour, deviant behaviour, and addiction behaviour. In addition, the mediating effect of social networking use intensity was assessed on the relationship between cyberloafing behaviour and job performance. Based on the results obtained, it was found that there is a significant relationship between cyberloafing behaviour and job performance. Nevertheless, no statistical evidence was found for the mediating effect of social networking use intensity, hence was not retained. Copyright |
