Summary: | With the rapid increase of existing unused data records, the need of making use of this databecame vital. Data mining (DM) is among the latest technologies that many researcherspay attention to currently. By applying data mining techniques, data can be analyzed, conclusions can be drawn, and future decisions quality can be improved. The goal of thisstudy to perform a systematic literature review of educational data analytics andvisualization. We review existing work in this field from four perspectives. Prior similarwork must be taken into consideration to be reviewed and analyzed. Hence, a SystematicLiterature Review (SLR) was carried out to review the research that has been done, whichis relevant to the field of the study. In the first place, 180 papers were retrieved by a manualsearch in five databases and 27 primary studies were finally included. The findingsdeliverables determined the literature review on educational data mining and visualization. Moreover, commonly used data mining techniques are identified. |
