Results showed that 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium chloride is able to reduce the weight loss of aluminium metal under acidic corrosive surrounding up to 11 compared to that of without the presence of 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium chloride. Based on potentiodynamic polarization response, percentage of corrosion inhibition efficiency is found to be up to 99.3. In summary, 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium chloride is highly potential to act as an anti-corrosion agent, even in a very low concentration. © School of Engineering, Taylor�s University.
