Summary:This paper is intended to improve Open Distance Learning (ODL) ergonomics to minimize attrition rate in Malaysia lifelong learning initiatives.The issue confronting learning ergonomics which design characteristics in the learning process and the environment is its influence and impact on learning performance adaptability.Profiling the learners can improve ergonomics in ODL.Communicating such initiatives effectively offers possible improvements in course design, facilitation of meaningful learning experiences, student comfort and productivity; the accumulation of these attributes could reduce learning frustrations in the process of acquiring new knowledge.
