Jdaitawi, Malek LB2300 Higher Education The term psychographics is often used interchangeably with life style which uses activities/attitudes and opinions as the research interests.Therefore, the purpose of the study was to identify the level of psychographics attributes among 424 potential first class students at Universiti Utara Malaysia.In addition, the purpose of the study was to examine the differences of the emotional intelligence level based on gender.The results of the study indicated that 24.8% of respondents are at the moderate level in total, 0.7% of the respondents fall into the low level and 74.5% of the respondents fall into the high level of psychographic attributes furthermore, the result showed that there was a partial significant difference on psychographic attributes.Therefore, outcomes of the study describe some characteristics on the prospective students to assist in providing coaching and mentoring – by insuring students suited to their needs and desires for their study.
