Summary: | The implementation of innovation in waste management is a significant driver for resource efficiency that will give a huge impact towards SMEs. There are many important elements in implementing innovative waste management. The most important reason is waste management practice can contribute value added towards the organization. Turning waste into end product is such an effective production growth, which considered as a lifeblood for an organization to sustain long term. However, as a SMEs industry, obstacles are very common towards the industry. The purpose of this study is to explore more innovation activities and some obstacles towards implementation innovation practice from pineapple waste. There are several analyses regarding innovation activities which may be a guideline that can be applied by Nanas Merbok Enterprise or other SMEs in their organization. Besides, the obstacles that have been found in Nanas Merbok Enterprise are lack of lack of encouragement from top management, limited employee and limited sophisticated machines which may distract the process implementation of innovation waste management. As for the method, there are two methods that have been used in this study. Firstly, the researcher uses primary data, as a wise method in this study. The interview has been used to collect the data of the company background details and to identify the problems regarding waste management and innovation activities. Next, secondary data is also a method which a researcher makes an overview of the innovation, waste management, 3R and SWOT of the organization from the previous article. Based on the research findings, innovative waste management from pineapple waste practice towards non-woven fabric innovation practice can be the best innovation practice for Nanas Merbok Ent which researcher found out that analysis of the SWOT for non-woven fabric innovation practice can overcome the obstacles that Nanas Merbok Ent. are currently fronting it. Hence, this guideline and discussion can be worth it to other SMEs too. |
