Summary:The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of number of hours spend on social media, number of study hours and CGPA on academic performance among students of Production and Operation Management (POM) in Universiti Utara Malaysia. The sample was 200 students in POM. Only 111 questionnaires were returned and used for further analysis using SPSS version 22.0 software. The findings of this study revealed that the number of hours spend on social media, number of study hours and CGPA have significant positive effect on academic performance. The results found that the number of hours study to be the most significant variable influencing academic performance the students of Production and Operation Management, Universiti Utara Malaysia.
