Description
Summary:In this study, a total of 250 unrelated Vietnamese individuals were sampled for the analysis. Blood was used as ADN source. All the specimens were stored in chemical treated cards and kept at -20oC until ADN extraction carried out. PCR technique for these loci was made using designed primers with optimized PCR components and thermal cycles. The PCR product were separated in denatured polyacrylamide gel followed by silver staining detection. Alleles were determined by using a set of allelic ladders of three loci constructed in last our research. After electrophoresis, allele frequencies and forensic parameters (chi-square test, observed and expected heterozygosity, power of discrimination and matching probability) were calculated. No significant deviation from Hardy-Weiberg equilibrium was found for any of the loci. We also compared the data with those obtained from three other populations (Caucasoids American, Chinese and Poland). Allele distributions were similar between Vietnamese and Chinese population and different among Vietnamese, Poland and American population. The high-level of similarity (or dissimilarity) allows combining sets of regional data to yield a larger data set and increase the precision of various DNA forensic calculation from a mix of case from different countries.
