Summary: | DTM has been isolated from a wild Cordycep sample collected in Tay Tang- China. The selected fungus was subjected to polyphasic taxonomic, optimum conditions for harvesting biomass and anticancer cells activity study. It was identified as Cordycep militaris based on morphology and phylogenetic analysis Medium MT5, pH6 at 25°C, after 5-7 days were DTM's optimum cultural conditions for harvesting these selected fungal biomass. The hot water extract from Cordycep militaris DTM biomass demonstrated a potential cytotoxic effect against the proliferation of the human cancer cells with an IC50 of 30 µg/ml to Hep-2, RD, LU. More ever, the alcohol extract of its biomass also demonstrated a potential cytotoxic effect against the proliferation of the human cancer cells with an IC50 of 0.53-94 ug/ml to SW872, HTC, HT29. The other human cancer cells A549, COLO 205, Hep 3B, Huh7, PCL can be inhibited the proliferation with IC50 > 100µg/ml. With high potential in anticancer cells, that the Cordyceps militaris extract may therefore have therapeutic potential for function food and medicinal industrial which aid to cure cancer patient in Vietnam in the next study. |
