Within this regard, the thesis was conducted with the aims to evaluate the suitability of the material “Intelligent Business Elementary” for the first year non-English major students at Academy of Finance to investigate the suitability of the course book to the students’ needs and interests, then to suggest practical recommendations for future improvements of the material. The data collection instruments employed in this study were questionnaires for teachers and students, and informal teachers’ interviews. In this thesis, the material is analyzed based on the criteria proposed by Hutchinson & Waters (1987).
