Description
Summary:There is no doubt that livestock industry plays an important role in the Vietnamese economy in which, agriculture sector accounts for 15.34% GDP. (General Statistical Office, 2017) The livestock industry brings great benefits for the country; however, it creates an undeniable threat of pollution affecting the health of the community and natural ecosystems. Clearly, one of the biggest problems is wastewater from farm flowing into receiving resources without being treated or handled by single, effective measures as regulated in the discharge standards. Especially swine wastewater which contains pollutants and pathogenic microorganisms, is many times higher than the emission allowed.
