Summary:The study focuses on the relationship between risk factors affecting localization to find different ways that can increase the proportion of localization. The study also found the true localization of automotive products in Vietnam, as well as evaluating FVL’s current problems of global sourcing and directions of localizing sourcing to reduce costs. Both qualitative and quantitative research methods are utilized to understand responses of the automobile companies to the increase the rate of localizing sourcing. Questionnaires and surveys will be distributed to Purchasing Staff and Managers at Ford Vietnam Limited. Qualitative research will be next step of researching that helps clarifying responses as well as recommendations of the automaker (Ford Vietnam Limited) which are showed in questionnaires and survey.
