The thesis contains four main parts including (1) introduction; (2) data & methodology; (3) results and discussions; and (4) conclusion. Chapter 1: Introduction – presents the overview of the research containing basic and key ideas of the thesis such as the necessity of research, research question, research hypothesis, research objective, the scope of research, literature review concentrating on briefly showing the study-related academic works in the past, research gap and research structure. Chapter 2: Data and Methodology – is a chapter in which, the data is described and the methodology of the study is expected to be discussed. Moreover, the rationale for choosing the definitions and database will be explained along with how each indicator or factor has been calculated. Chapter 3: Results and discussion – is the chapter includes results analysis of heatwave characteristics, their trends, and some comments about them in the context of climate change in Vietnam, as well as some limitations of the study, recommendations for using the research results, and further research orientation. Chapter 4: Conclusion – is the final chapter of the thesis concludes the main findings.
