Interestingly, the findings of this study unfolded a drawing-from-the-well model from the students’ experiences in civic engagement and leadership of being committed, adaptive, and responsible that represent a development of civic identity. Being committed embodies the goals of the community project that deepens students’ willingness to improve the quality of life of the people. Being adaptive tackles the flexibility and capability of the students to manage their time and resources.
