Description
Summary:This study was focused on improving the welding skills of Grade 11 SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) students through PPMS (Project Plant Made of Steel). It was used explanatory sequential approach. This involved initially conducting a quasi-experimental procedure specifically the time interrupted series design, followed by collecting open-ended responses from students to verify and integrate them into the results obtained from previous procedure. Respondents of the study were composed of 34 SMAW students. Since this study is a mixed method, purposive sampling and observation of the researchers were also used as well as weighted mean and paired t-test for the analysis of the data. Findings of the study revealed that the level of performance of SMAW students in welding before is low compared to after conducting PPMS particularly to experimental group.
