Description
Summary:Dagupan City is a commercialized area with an increasing population every year. Although already known to be a highly urbanized location, the data on traffic and pedestrians for the city is still very limited. The study focuses on trip generation, the first step of four-step forecasting model for travel demand. The trips generated by four schools around the city center are the focal points of the study to be completed. The data needed will be gathered through various interviews and surveys to be handed out to the faculty, staff and students of the schools included in the study. From the data obtained, two models of trip generation rates will be created, namely: linear regression analysis and cross-classification model. The two models were analyzed to produce trip generation models. The data collected has been analyzed showing information such as population, gender, age, as well as their social status.
