Summary:Online dating has been a craze among the emerging adults in this digital age. Little research has been done to explore the factors affecting the decision-making of individuals who engage in specialized online dating platforms. Elements such as physical attractiveness, proximity, similarities, personal enjoyment, risk perception, Tinder & Grinder as a medium that gratify sexual needs, and drug & alcohol use emerged from the experiences of the respondents. Among these, physical attractiveness turns out to be the most influential factor. Through the experiences of the respondents, the researchers utilized a qualitative analysis on the most popular specialized online dating platforms which is Tinder and Grindr. Further studies may contribute in expounding on the positive and negative behavior and the outcomes of relationships that start with online dating applications.
