Summary:This study is about the nature and process of computer mediated romantic relationships among young adults. The researchers conducted ten (10) interviews five (5) females and five (5) males in order to know the elements that lead to attraction as well as the process behind it. The elements that were identified are humor, mutual liking, desirability, consistency, and self-disclosure. The phases of the process includes online as the starting point, friendship, great conversations, and jealousy and exclusivity. The researchers also found out that for maintenance of an online relationship physical proximity, promise of future interaction and gender differences are important.
