Teresita, Batangas Custodio, Noel De las Alas, Darius A. Hung, Chiu Mendoza, Jesse Talavera, Allan Ted Tantoco, Tracy Michael Executive Summary The authors have ventured into the study of setting up a business of manufacturing and selling organic fertilizers from indigenous materials, and have concluded that the over all plan is workable. The potential buyers may not be optimistic at first but after the marketing plan is started, they will soon recognize the advantages of using natural products vis-a-vis chemical products. The benefits may not be seen in the short run, but its long term advantages will surely appear after continuous use. Producing organic fertilizers is not a problem, thanks to the help of previous and on going research on organic fertilizers by the U.P. Los Baños Biotech Department. The U.P.L.B. has transformed technology from mere research to a workable production process. Of course, the costs which will be incurred in the process is not very reassuring, but should the forecast of the market and the proper application of the marketing program materialize, the business will be able to recover its costs in a reasonable time, considering the product is going to be introduced to a new area. In the end, society would have to accept the main objective behind the production of organic fertilizer, that is to uplift the productivity of our land and to maintain its natural nutrient to enable the people to use the soil for a longer period of time. 1992-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_bachelors/9444 Bachelor's Theses English Animo Repository Organic fertilizers Fertilizers industry
