Their perceptions on the following were gathered: (a) The orphanage they belong to (house-mothers, policies, and facilities) (b) their biological parents and (c) other adolescents (orphans and non-orphans). The orphans' perceptions on problems were also studied. Through convenient sampling, twelve female orphans from Hospicio de San Jose were obtained as subjects. Their ages ranged from thirteen to seventeen years old. The study was conducted using a descriptive research design. Data were gathered through focus-group discussions. The results obtained were content analyzed.
