Description
Summary:PNBGen has been planning to make a company manual that would serve their seven departments for more than three years. All their documents are in disarray. Memos and letters are the materials given in disseminating company regulations, announcements and the like. PNBGen needed manuals to help them in disseminating information, consolidate data and reduce paper work. The proponents of this project created a company manual serving seven departments (Marketing, Underwriting, Claims, Bonds, Personnel, Administration and Finance) for PNBGen Insurers Company, Inc. The departmental manuals include the scope of work and operational guidelines of their respective department. The company manual is composed of 304 pages and 54 dividers. Its page orientation is portrait, 8 1/2 X 11 size, black and white. It is compiled in a ring binder. The proponents wrote the original text of the Underwriting and Marketing Department manuals, with the exception of certain policy statements. The materials for the other manuals are consolidated by the proponents. These manuals will give the managers and employees comprehensive guidebooks, that will serve as effective media in disseminating information. Moreover, they will project an image of stability and dynamism to the organization members. The proponents used visually appealing layouts, typography and pictures. The proponents have selected interviews among the policy making officers of PNBGen. The proponents listed, formulated and revised the available learning documents. After the text was written, the proponents used Page Maker 5 in encoding the data. They also used the same software for layouting. During the course of production, the organization supervisor and the proponents did the editing. The organization supervisor facilitated the group's access necessary people and documents. The readers of the PNBGen Company Manual found it to be very informative. They learned more about the Company and how it operates. PNBGen Insurers Company, Inc. extended its full support in the realization of this project.
