Morallos, Cassandra Samaniego, Aster Lilli Silvestre, Eliza Tianco, Ma. Virginia Executive Summary Based on the results of the research conducted by the proponents as well as the data from interviews and the results of the survey, the establishment of Pack O' Lunch, Inc. was proven to be feasible. Pack O' Lunch, Inc. is a business enterprise which provides food delivery services. Its business office and kitchen will be located along Pablo Ocampo Street (formerly Vito Cruz, Ext.), a 5 to 10 minute drive from Salcedo Village, Makati - the target area of distribution. Pack O' Lunch, Inc. is a closed corporation. Thus, its shares of stock will not be offered to the public. At present, there are many existing competitors. However, the catering industry still provides room for new entrants. Therefore, the industry can still be penetrated. The product is a complete lunch meal packed in styropor containers. It consists of one viand, rice, soup or vegetables, and dessert. Disposable utensils and paper napkins will also be provided to the customers. The price will range from P20-P30.The target market of the business enterprise are the employees working in Salcedo Village, Makati. The total population in the area amounted to 35,200 employees. From this figure, we obtained a market share of 539 employees. These employees have gross monthly salaries ranging from P 3,000 to P 10,000. The increase in market share is projected to be 15 percent annually. The office and kitchen building will have to be constructed on a leased site. Fixed assets will include office equipment, delivery equipment, kitchen equipment and appliances, kitchen utensils, furniture and fixtures. These will be purchased from leading department stores and appliance centers. Raw materials (meat, rice, and vegetables) will be delivered by dealers. Other supplies will be bought in supermarkets located near the kitchen site. Two motorcycle vans shall be used to deliver the packed lunches to the office buildings in time for lunch break. The general manager and operations manager will perform the management functions. The staff includes the head cook, three assistant cooks, three packers, two delivery boys, two drivers, and a part-time bookkeeper. The source of capital will come from the six proponents who are also the incorporators. Out of the total 10,000 authorized common shares, each will be acquiring 1,250 shares at a par value of P 100. Thus, the total contributed capitals amounts to P 750,000.The current ratio, which is 5.48, shows that the liquidity position of the company is high. It has more than enough current assets to pay its obligations as they fall due. The profitability ratios of the company indicate that it is able to recover its costs of operations and still earn profit. There will be six incorporators who will also occupy seats in the Board of Directors. From these incorporators, the general manager will be elected. This will be done so as to best protect the interest of the business. The establishment of the corporation provides benefits not only to its incorporators and to its customers but also to society and to the economy. 1993-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_bachelors/9470 Bachelor's Theses English Animo Repository Packaging Food service management Delivery of goods |
