Iway, Lourdes Mary L., Malate, Katherine Lourdes C., This research study aimed to find the most significant predictors of resilience among Filipino Palliative Care doctors. Five (5) predictor variables were used based on related literature: emotional intelligence, personality characteristics such as internal locus of control, sense of coherence and hardiness, perceived social support, age and gender. Thirty (30) Filipino Palliative Care doctors were asked to answer comprehensive questionnaires that measured the predictor variables the data was then subjected to multiple regression. It was found that the model was significant, adjusted R² = 0.65, F (7, 22) = 5.54, p <0.00 where emotional intelligence and internal locus of control were found to be significant predictors in the resilience of Filipino palliative care doctors. These results imply that palliative care doctors who were aware of their emotions, using it as a tool to accept rather than resist stress while taking responsibility of their actions are considered to be resilient individuals. This in turn makes them more competent and effective in the field of Palliative Care. 2009-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_bachelors/9479 Bachelor's Theses English Animo Repository Palliative treatment Terminal care Physician and patient
