Description
Summary:This study seeks to examine the long-term implications of peace activities on children. Specifically, the researchers studied the long-term implications of peace activities on former elementary students of Jose Abad Santos Memorial School (JASMS), Quezon City, which happened last school year 1988-1989. In gathering the necessary data, the study made use of a descriptive method of analysis - an in-depth interview research design. The researchers studied ten interviewee who were treated as individual cases and picked based on set criteria prepared. Based on the study, the researchers came to the conclusion that as an instrument of making students aware of the idea of peace, the peace activities initiated in JASMS were successful. However, for the concept of peace be maintained in the students, a constant reinforcement of the activities must be present. Furthermore, it was observed that the perceived peace concept of the cases were acted on by certain factors namely family, education, peers, and self-efficacy.
