Description
Summary:A Computer Assisted Instruction (CAI) ON Petri-Nets is presented. The framework of the CAI is based on the concept of asynchronous and concurrent operation by parts of a system and the actualization of representing the relationship between the parts by a net. In this project, several modes of presentation are utilized to enable the intended users to know the theories and concepts behind Petri-Nets. Texts and materials for the tutorial are lifted freely from the papers of individuals whose expertise are in the field of system modelling. Several examples, that are graphics oriented and supportive, are created to help expedite the user's further inquiry regarding Petri-Nets. A facility that analyzes the Petri-Net created by the user via keyboard or mouse is included to enhance the theoretical application of the project. A documentation that contains all the concepts and theoretical framework behind the project is also presented. Finally, a user's manual is included to help facilitate the intended user's utilization of the system.
