This descriptive study aimed to: (1) determine the level of work motivation and morale of Filipino police (2) establish if there is a significant relationship between the variables work motivation and morale and (3) identify the factors that distinguish police work motivation and morale groups. Multi-stage cluster sampling was employed to determine the 180 subjects (commissioned and non-commissioned police officers belonging to six stations of the Western Police District) who will answer the work motivation and morale questionnaires. Results show that Filipino police have a generally high level of work motivation and morale, and that there is a significant moderate positive relationship between these two variables. In addition to this, it was revealed that a bilateral predictive direction of the relationship between these two variables exists work motivation can predict morale, and morale can predict more motivation. Results also show that the factors which maximally distinguish police work motivation groups are: Working Conditions, Responsibility, Advancement, Work Itself, and Recognition. For morale, the factors are Cohesive Pride and Personal Challenge. A theoretical framework was proposed based on the results of this study. 1996-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_bachelors/9663 Bachelor's Theses English Animo Repository Police psychology Employee motivation Morale
