To do or not to do, that is the procrastination: Age, sex and relationship status on academic procrastination

College students are one of the individuals who are greatly affected by procrastination in the academic setting. It is greatly manifested in their period as they develop from a phase to another, to the desire of their engagement in relationships with other individual, and their biological make up. This study investigates student's academic procrastination behavior and its relation to demographic variables such as age, sex, and relationship status. The participants are 236 students who are currently studying in different major fields at De La Salle University-Manila by using simple random sampling. Procrastination Assessment Scale-Student was used to gather data, an Analysis of Covariance was used to analyze the data using age as a covariate. Only relationship status was found to be significantly related (p=0.04). Implications of the findings are discussed.
