Summary:Mommy is a 15-minute documentary of AB Communication Arts students under the name Estimulo Productions, produced as a thesis requirement for the Department of Communication in De La Salle University-Manila. The documentary features Alma Arcega, a former actress, overseas entertainer, a single mother, and one of the very few of today's female taxi drivers of the country. Through the method of an interview, Alma has narrated the day-to-day experience of a woman who has begun debunking norms by being employed in a male-dominated job. Moreover, the personal life of hers has added depth to her character that was ought to be presented to the viewers. To further develop the study, the passengers of Alma was also interviewed, along with her co-taxi drivers and the people in-charge of the company she is working for and some members from her family, especially her son. It was then discovered as to how she manifests being a mommy at home and at work. Here is the story of Alma's struggles, then acceptance and her continuous struggle on being a female taxi driver. The researchers wanted to show that women can do as much as men can in the workplace/taxi business while handing being a mom.
