Description
Summary:This study intended to describe the Sexual Well-being of male adolescents and adults and how it is related with Self-Esteem. Through convenient sampling, 75 adolescents and 75 adults were surveyed about relationship, sexual activity and body image (physical attractiveness and male genitalia), and were given the Self-Esteem and Sexuality scales. Participants were tested in batches of 10 and were assured of confidentiality and anonymity. Through frequency counts, results of the survey showed that majority are in a relationship at present, have already engaged in sexual activities, are comfortable with their bodies and are satisfied with their sexual organs. Self-Esteem and Sexuality scores positively correlated at r=.71 at an alpha level 0.05. However, a t-test showed that no significant difference was found among the two sample groups at a p-level 0.05 and p-variance of 0.66. These will further be discussed in relation to each group's unique developmental stage and their culture.
