Description
Summary:The Camotes Claim: History or Their Story is a seventeen minute audio-video documentary about the artifacts found in Camotes Island, Cebu. The documentary narrates the story of how the artifacts were first discovered in 1974, and the looting that has happened since then. It also presents the historical claim the people of Camotes raised because of the discovered artifacts. The documentary ends with an emphasis on the loss of the said artifacts and the contributions it could have made to history. With the use of actual footages from Camotes Island, gathered interviews and newspaper articles, the documentary basically shows the value of the Camotes artifacts in context of their historical relevance. In shooting the documentary, the researchers made use of the V8 format. Non-linear editing was used for post-production. Final copies were transferred into both VHS and U-Matic.
