Gender appropriateness is instilled on children depending on how mothers deal with her son/daughter as a boy or a girl. The researchers wanted to know how single mothers instill the gender appropriateness with regards to the gender role formation of children. There are four dimensions that are related in instilling gender appropriateness namely, discipline, delegation of household chores, restrictive-ness and play behavior. The data obtained indicated that the manner of play behavior distinctly shows how gender appropriate-ness is instilled in children. It was also showed that single mothers are not entirely different to the typical mothers with husbands, in instilling gender appropriateness to their kids. 2001-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_bachelors/10237 Bachelor's Theses English Animo Repository Gender identity--Social aspects Single mothers Children of single parents Biological Psychology
