Chong, Sharon Clare Elona, Maria Elena So, Anna May Intimate relationship occur between two people when the emotional development of adults shifts towards intimacy or isolation. It is important for both men and women to be able to maintain a successful relationship. The study aims to describe the needs of unmarried women in a committed relationship, their unmet needs that lead to an affair and the experiences before, during and after the affair. The results indicate that the needs of an unmarried woman before entering a committed relationship are commitment, passion, belongingness and financial security while their unmet needs in a commited relationship are commitment, passion, attention, emotional intimacy and acceptance. Before the affair, women experienced dissatisfactions due to the unmet needs that caused conflicts within the relationship. During the affair, there were women who experienced confusion and guilt. On the other hand, there were some who did not feel guilty at all. After the affair, those women who felt guilty ended the affair and continued the committed the relationship while, those who did not feel guilty possessed no regret for their actions. It was also determined that the unmet needs within the committed relationship was satisfied in the affair. 2001-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_bachelors/10255 Bachelor's Theses English Animo Repository Fertility, Human Interpersonal relations Developmental Psychology Personality and Social Contexts |
