Stress in the lower back region of the spine has been a regular phenomenon among females of the working industry in the Philippine setting that often results to nervous breakdown and decrease in work efficiency. Poor body posture for standing and sitting stances as well as varying movements of flexion, extension, and lateral bending have been established via surveys to be the contributing elements to the occurrence of stress. However, the only locally existing instrument available, L.U.M.S.A.T., have limited its scope to the sitting position while considering only flexion and extension of the lower back. In light of this, the proponents of the paper have extended the scope of L.U.M.S.A.T. to include the standing posture and the lateral movement of the worker. A number of subjects were asked to flexed, extend and bent laterally. Readings where then taken while the designed software translates a stress value from the readings. Hence, the study is a presentation of a measurement tool that would monitor the condition of the lower back for possible stress. 2000-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_bachelors/10287 Bachelor's Theses English Animo Repository Structural analysis (Engineering) Lumbar curve Industrial Engineering |
