This was shot in video-8 format, and was edited using a non-linear editing set-up. The story revolves around a poor fisherman and his family who have turned to God because they find it difficult to rise from their poor state. When the fisherman finally gets a bountiful catch and finds a statue in it, he thinks this was God's answer to his prayers. But he becomes fanatic over it and his relationship with his wife and children suffers. He brings the statue to sea with him and dies trying to save it when the waves threaten it to fall into the water. 1996-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_bachelors/10348 Bachelor's Theses English Animo Repository Religious fanaticism Documentary films Freedom of religion Broadcast and Video Studies Communication Technology and New Media
