Description
Summary:The study aims to describe the grief experiences of volunteer caregivers of terminally ill patients. The study used a descriptive research design. Analysis of data was through content analysis. Sampling was done specifically through non-probability convenient, chain-referral. The findings were that there were two components affecting the grief experiences of volunteer caregivers: the factors affecting the grief experience and the manifestations of these grief experiences. The factors that affect the grief experience are: attachment and relationship, situations surroundings the death, concurrent loss and others which include coping strategies. The manifestations of grief were exhibited in four ways through feelings, cognitions, behavior and physical sensations.
