Percieved best practices of social workers on abused children

The purpose of this study is to identify the best practices of social workers and its perceived effects on children, the identified best practices will be examined to identify the possible similarities between the identified best practices with construct of Positive Psychology. Review of related literature showed that social workers aim to help the children realize their potential and develop self-determination which coincides with the constructs of Positive Psychology. The researchers were able to interview a total of 10 social workers from different organizations around the Metro Manila area. The data gathered from the interviews were presented in case studies and analyzed through content analysis wherein themes were created. The results showed that the perceived best practices of social workers and the perceived effects of the best practices on the children coincide with the concepts of Positive Psychology.
