Summary: | The research is about work-life balance among college students. Work-life balance has long been focused mainly in the corporate setting, and this study aimed to see if college students experienced work-life balance in their daily lives. The framework included stressors from college of liberal arts and college of engineering and how different types of coping strategies can be used to manage stressors they face. For the methodology, semi-structured interview questions were used to interview in a focused group discussion with a total of six groups each consisting of five students each with a total of thirty students, fifteen from the college of liberal arts and fifteen from the college of engineering. Using thematic analysis, the results showed themes of balancing studies and social life balancing studies and family time deadlines, tests and homework distance from family and friends and rest period . These themes presented show how the college students experience work-life balance in their lives and how they cope with everyday stressors from their work. |
