Summary: | The researchers examined the impact of sex as one of the important factors with regards to marital satisfaction. Survey questionnaires were administered to 113 working female married individuals and 87 working male individuals. The instruments used were the Marital Satisfaction Inventory for Filipino Couples and the Bem Sex Role Inventory. Results indicate that the variables sex role specifically androgyny and undifferentiated have a positive and negative significant prediction towards marital satisfaction respectively among Filipino married individuals. Moreover, among the subcategories of marital satisfaction, only affective communication, financial management, sexual relations and role orientations are positively predicted by androgyny while undifferentiated individuals do not significantly predict any subcategories. |
