The authors named the test Panukat ng Agresyon sa Pagmamaneho, Meyer H. Parry's literatuare regarding causes of aggression in driving, Faelnar et. al's inventional stressors causing aggression and data gathered from pagtatanong-tanong and through the use of unstructured questionnaire were used as bases for constructing the test item pool. Professional and non-professional drivers served as respondents for the data gathering using Pagtatanong-tanong and Unstructured questionnaire. The initial item pool was subjected to item review by four psychology experts, four senior driving experts, a Filipino language professor and a visual communication expert. The assembled item pool was then administered to a pre try-out to ten respondents. Suggestions of pretest respondents were considered and only minor changes were made. Fifty professional and 50 non-professional licensed drivers ages seventeen to fifty served as respondents for the main try-out. Item analysis was performed using the inter-item correlation. Validity was determined using Factor analysis. Factor analysis initially revealed ten factors, of which three were considered insignificant due to low item remaining values and low reliability coefficient for these three factors. The seven significant factors considered to elicit aggression among drivers when driving are frustrating events, insulting actions, power complex, may pose danger to driver, discourtesy of other drivers, annoying situations and being unfair. Cronbach's coefficient alpha indicated an overall reliability of 0.7621. The seven significant factors have their own reliability coefficient per factor. A norms table for the whole test was constructed using the percentile ranks based on the results of the main try-out. Norms tables constructed available are for the professional drivers 9per factor and overall), non-professional drives (per factor and overall) and non-professional and professional drivers (per factor and overall) combined. The final form consists of 92 items. 1999-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_bachelors/10505 Bachelor's Theses English Animo Repository |
