Description
Summary:The study aims to determine the degree of association between the human resource management practices and other factors that may affect wellness, with the selected state of wellness among regular employees at Samuya Food Manufacturing, Inc. Samuya is a company that manufactures peanut butter and coco jam. Only specified human resource management practices - training, occupational safety and health, performance evaluation, disciplinary actions, and compensation, and other factors that may affect wellness - employee attitude, non-work issues, epidemics, and corporate culture will be used in the study. Likewise, only physical, occupational, and emotional wellness are the states of wellness that are recognized in the study. A correlation and multiple regression study were conducted for Samuya Food Manufacturing, Inc. The study required the researchers to distribute questionnaires to the 48 regular factory workers of Samuya. Both a manual statistical method, namely Pairwise correlation, and the IBM SPSS Statistics version 21 were used to be able to obtain the desired results. All variables showed an association with each other. On the other hand, the relationship for each pair of dependent and independent variables resulted to an insignificant relationship. Only disciplinary actions and corporate culture were revealed to be predictors of wellness after a multiple regression analysis was performed.
