Summary: | The study made use of descriptive research and non-way ANOVA to have a comparison among the different types of single-parent families, namely, physical separation of a parent due to work abroad (OFW), separation or divorce of the parents and death of a parent with the different types of family related variables, which are family attachment, family relationship and family involvement. The sample size was 90 children and purposive sampling was employed top to accomplish the data. The results were then analyzed using descriptive statistics and One-way ANOVA. Results showed that family attachment had the only significance on the different types of single-parent families. On the other hand, family relationship and family involvement has no significance on different types of single-parent families. Attachment has been significant for the children among 3 single-parent families, yet among the 3 single-parent families , it had difference only between OFW families and bereaved families. |
