Description
Summary:The thesis Motorcycle safety System using ZigBee, Breath Analyzer, Pressure Sensors, and Light Indicators is a project that integrates sensors, wireless communication, DC Motors, and microcontrollers. This project is designed to have a motorcycle system that will monitor if the driver and back rider are wearing protective headgear and are sober. The motorcycle will only be enabled when such conditions are met. In the event that either the back rider or driver is not wearing a helmet and/or inebriated, DC motors will activate and lock both the brake and the throttle of the motorcycle. This motorcycle system was made possible through the use of sensors such as pressure sensors and breath analyzers. Also, with the use of microcontrollers in the motorcycle and both of the helmets, the group created a program that will send and receive signals that will either disable or enable the throttle and brake of the motorcycle. The method of communication between the motorcycle and the helmets is through ZigBee that send and receive data, to and from the microcontrollers. Signal lights are also displayed at the back of the helmet and are controlled wirelessly.
