Description
Summary:This paper describes the integration of an Accelerometer, Bluetooth, Blood Pressure monitor, GPS, GSM and a Heart Rate Sensor to come up with a system that would be able to monitor the vital signs of a person while he is engaged in an activity. With the GUI, the user will be able to enter the parameters required by the Hardware to function properly. The parameters that would be sent to the Microcontroller, via the Bluetooth module, will then be saved into the Memory card. Using the Accelerometer, BP monitor, and the HR sensor, the device will be able to determine the physical and physiological statistics of the user. Then it will be monitored using the Emergence algorithm. While the GPS Receiver module will be used in determining the location of the user doing the activity. Moreover, the GSM is the one responsible of the transmission of data from the Microcontroller to Emergence contact of the user when an emergence is detected using the Emergence algorithm.
