RFID-based audio and textual guide for museums

This paper presents an FPGA-based RFID implementation of audio and visual guide for museums. Different RFID tags are to be scanned by the RFID reader interfaced on Altera DE2's RS-232. Audio files are saved in an SD card which will be selected by the RFID tag's unique ASCII signals. After...

After an audio file is selected, the low power WM8731 Audio CODEC will process the playing of the audio file. There are basically two parts of system implementation: hardware and software. For hardware implementation, System-On-A-Programmable-Chip (SOPC) Builder was used to implement the system and integrate the different components involved in the system. The Nios II soft processor will serve as the master peripheral for all the modules in the whole system. Quartus II software was used to compile the SOPC-generated Verilog modules for the Cyclone II FPGA. For software implementation, the NIOS II integrated Development Environment (IDE) was used to program C codes to the NIos II processor. 2012-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_bachelors/10682 Bachelor's Theses English Animo Repository Radio frequency identification systems Embedded computer systems--Design and construction Field programmable gate arrays--Programming Communication Electrical and Electronics
