Burgos, Maria Katrina M. This study aimed to determine if variations in the factors involved in the self-evaluation maintenance model would affect satisfaction level with a best friend relationship in early adults in same sex and cross sex best friend relationships. Its objective was to determine if there are differences in level of satisfaction between groups that vary in the level of performance, in relation to a best friend, in domain relevance of performance domain to the individual and type of friendship according to gender. It also aimed to describe how this population describes a best friend. Data was ran through a 2 (type of friendship) x 3 (self-relevance of performance dimension) x 3 (performance on a dimension) between-subjects Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) and descriptions of a best friend were analyzed through content analysis. No effects were found. The next objective however, showed that 50% of the respondents describe their best friend as someone who is benefitting and secondly someone who is trustworthy (45%). 2008-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_bachelors/10751 Bachelor's Theses Animo Repository
