Description
Summary:This study aims to describe sexual jokes to understand the sexuality and social interaction of male and female adolescents. Adolescents with ages ranging from 17 to 21, made up of 4 male and 3 female groups, participated in the study. A descriptive design using participant observation and pakikipagkuwentuhan was utilized. Qualitative analysis was used for the content (theme, character, action, setting) and structure) (form of narrative) of sexual jokes, as well as the overt behavior exhibited during the exchange of sexual jokes. Results showed that there is gender difference in the sexuality of males and females as reflected by sexual jokes. The peer interaction also showed that the sexuality of these adolescents is expressed, learned, and understood through the exchange of sexual jokes.
