Summary:This study explored which workplace benefit would most positively influence the motivation of generation y employees. Data was collected from surveys with one hundred and fifty respondents with the age range of 19-30 years old. The data was subjected ti descriptive analysis from which categories were determined. The study found unique categories for each group of benefits preference, which were also consistently related to the factors under study. Companies that provided extrinsic benefits that focused on technology showed that their generation y employees are more satisfied and motivated. On the other hand, companies with that provided with intrinsic benefits that focused on employee improvement showed that their generation y employees are also very motivated to work.
