Description
Summary:This study is focused on presenting the concept of abandonment in a different perspective through the story of blind parents who, because of their disability, provide inadequate care for their children and the story of an 11-year old girl, who because of neglectful parenting was impregnated. This kind of abandonment is more than physical desertion, but emotional neglect referred to as the incapacity to provide attention, having passive parental guidance and support on child's growth, maturity and security, mostly rooted from the life experiences of the parents and poverty. Consequently it often results to the children's unstable development and distorted relationship with their parents, projecting an uncertain future.
